Sometimes we step into a home or environment we are instinctively drawn to, without knowing why.

This happens when we perceive a secret harmony in the interiors, a correspondence between spaces, materials, furniture, and, above all, colours. Colours are a topic that can cause difficulties, as choosing and combining them is a complicated and delicate matter, starting from the simplest issue of painting walls.

Considering colour a mere aesthetic factor is incorrect; just like passively following current trends is wrong. Several studies have shown that colour psychologically and physiologically influences man, and is closely linked to our wellbeing. To design a chromatic project, humanistic and scientific expertise is necessary to guide the consultant in selecting the most appropriate techniques and materials for its realization.

Throughout her career, Eugenia Aliata has long studied and explored this topic. In 2017, she became a certified colour consultant after attending several advanced training seminars at IACC (International Association of Color Consultants and Designers), an association recognized by the Munsell Color Foundation (USA) as the highest authority on colour theory on an international level.

Thanks to her experience, Eugenia does not limit herself to recommending colour parings. Instead, she joins her clients on a search for colours linked to a person’s life experience and taste, to then scientifically construct a correct and balanced colour palette.
Great attention is also dedicated to the selection of materials – with a preference for natural ones, such as stone or wood – and to the choice of furniture. In particular, she often designs ad hoc solutions to enhance spaces and accommodate the different needs of those who live in them.
